Vicki's Tips:
Laundry; I use Purex 3-in-1 laundry sheets. This saves me from having bottles of laundry soap to lug around & worry about spilling. Also I don't need to buy separate fabric softener. It comes in a very small package that's so easy to use & transport & once you buy the initial one you can buy refills for the holder. Especially is you are using the camp grounds laundry facilities you don't have to try & catch the washer to add the softener or have separate sheets. You just throw in a sheet at the start of the wash & leave it. When you transfer the clothes to the dryer you don't have to hunt for the sheet (it's in there somewhere) & it softens your clothes in the dryer. They come in different fragrances so depending on your choice your clothes come out smelling great & looking very clean.
Paul's Tips & Tricks:
When the wind blows the awning will flap and rock the trailer so we stake it to the ground, well you can't always drive a stake in the ground as I found out here so what to do???? I don't want to carry around blocks of cement too heavy and bulky and take up too much room..... Well anyway you get the idea.. So I thought something to put water in and folds up when not in use ummmm ah,, a water jug with a handle. So we went to search all the sporting goods stores and this is what we found....

I found the Plastic water jug at Big 5 for about $10 and the tie-down at lowes I use the tie-downs to strap stuff on the back of the RV so they serve double duty. I put one on the front and one on the back so far this has worked very well for us; we have had light winds and no problem so far, I am sure if the wind is blowing very hard we will not put the awning out just to be safe..
My next tip is for the techie's out there:
I use WiFi to get internet when it’s available my desk top computers don’t have WiFi cards in them so I use a USB WiFi device, Most of the time it picks up the signal fine but there are times when it’s not so good, I found this at a swap meet but you can find them on ebay or at photo supply house. It’s a 6’ light stand, I use a 15’ USB extender cable (has a built in amplifier). The receiver is atached with a plastic tie wrap and in a sandwich bag to keep the weather out and not the signal..Now I can put the WiFi receiver on top of the trailer. Oh and I use a ½ gal. milk jug filed with… you got it water to hold it down.. Now I get a strong signal and I am a happy computer camper….
